The ERF are delighted to announce that the guest speaker for the March briefing will be David Gillick. David is a retired award winning Irish international track and field athlete.He has been crowned the champion of the first Celebrity
MasterChef Ireland and is also an author of ” David Gillick’s Kitchen “.
At this briefing David will talk about his personal journey through the elite sporting world as a full time athlete, dealing with retirement, transition and mental health. David will also focus on the following areas.
- Mindset – Mental Health, dealing with depression and building positive habits and goals
- Exercise – The importance of an active lifestyle incorporating elements of mobility, strength and cardio into your daily life
- Nutrition – The role of nutrition, practical and simple tips
- Rest & Recovery – digital detox, sleep, mindfulness and some ” Me Time “
The aim of this briefing is that you will take away some practical tips in a fun and engaging way and that you can implement these into your daily life and as a result boost your overall health and mental well being.
