The Employment and Recruitment Federation is now taking applications for the online ERF Certificate in Recruitment Practice Programme: ERF CertRP.

 

Unique to the Industry, this is the only dedicated Recruitment Practice Programme
in Ireland.

The programme is a must for those new to the profession or for those with experience who wish to validate and improve their knowledge. The programme is designed to instigate a uniform standard across the profession and will give the holders a competitive edge.

Agency clients will be secure in the knowledge that they are employing a qualified recruiter and successful graduates will be entitled to use the ERF CertRP title after their name.

The course consists of six Modules delivered through 4 half-day online workshops, 1 x full-day online workshop plus an assessment on day 6. The course modules are:

• The Recruitment Process
• Candidate Management
• Client Management
• Code of Conduct – ERF
• Legislation
• Selling & Sales

DAYS 1 & 2: Recruitment Process, Candidate Management, Client Management & ERF Code of Conduct

Recruitment Process and Candidate/Client management is 2 x half-day online workshops with trainer Grainne Martin. There is nothing Grainne does not know in these areas and is one of the expert trainers in the recruitment profession. Grainne will also present on the ERF code of Conduct.

Fenero, the ERF''s Education Partner, will also deliver a session on Contracting and Contractors

 


DAY 3: Legislation

1 x full-day online workshops on employment legislation. Trainer for this workshop is Barrister Eoin O Connor.

 


DAYS 4 & 5: Sales & Selling

This is a very comprehensive 2 x half-day online workshops and delivered by Olivia Galvin who is the Director of Coaching & Professional Development (Olivia Galvin Coaching).

 


DAY 6: Assessment 10am-12.30pm

The online assessment is two and a half hours from which the student must gain 70% or more to pass. The assessment is based on a maximum of 10 questions per Module other than code of conduct which will have no more than 3 questions. The Legislation module (which attributes to 40% of the marks) is based on a case study that will be presented on the day and additional questions will be asked on same.

Barry Prost

Managing Partner at Rent A Recruiter & Propel Consult


Barry has managed recruitment teams across Ireland, UK and Middle East for over 20 years. In 2010, Barry moved to Bahrain and set up a recruitment company, Propel Consult, with his business partner, Jamie Groom, which they grew to become the largest agency in Bahrain. In 2018 the two founders and their families decided it was time to return home. After moving back to Dublin, Barry and Jamie set up a new recruitment company called Yala to provide embedded recruitment services in Ireland and internationally through a product called ‘Rent A Recruiter’. Yala grew to 15 staff by 2019 and has signed up major clients in both the private and public sector. They completely changed the company name to Rent A Recruiter in 2022. Barry graduated from Trinity College with a Bachelor in Business Studies and subsequently an MBA from the Smurfit School of Business. Barry is a Committee Member of the ERF and also serves on the board for the SFA overseeing the MentorsWork initiative.
